Steve Cioppa – A.C.E. CMES, NSCA CPT, PR-TOA

Steve is a veteran of the health & fitness industry with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of personal training.  As of July 8th 2016, Steve was certified through The American Council on Exercise as a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist. (A.C.E. CMES) (One of less than 700 in the country) It provides exercise professionals with advanced credentials to work collaboratively with healthcare teams, including developing and delivering specific and complementary exercise programs for clients with clinical issues including people who have completed rehabilitation or those recovering from cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic and musculoskeletal conditions.  He is currently certified as a personal trainer thru the National Strength & Conditioning Association – NSCA (One of only 15 in the State of CT), the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers (N.C.C.P.T) and is also a certified TRX instructor, certified Functional Fitness Specialist (FFS) and most recently completed the Training the Older Adult / Functional Aging Specialist course in spring of 2020 (PR-TOA).  Steve is a former AAU / ANBC natural bodybuilding competitor and has trained several male and female bodybuilding class & overall winners.  Prior training certifications include A.C.E. and AAAI / ISMA.  His ongoing continuing education specialties include:

Chris Cossette – B.S., NCCPT CPT ( * 2018 – In Memoriam)

Chris started his fitness journey at 19 years of age. He is currently certified under the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers (N.C.C.P.T) and is also a certified Functional Fitness Specialist (FFS). He has 5 years of experience in Personal Training and continues to improve his craft attending annual workshops and conferences. He has a B.S in Exercise Science with a concentration in Human Performance from Southern Connecticut State University.

* Chris was sadly lost in February of 2018 but his spirit and vison lives on through the work and continuing growth of C&C StrongFit.
